The NYC Department of Design and Construction along with elected officials marked the completion of Phase 2 of the Maspeth, Queens (70th Street) Sewer Program. The project was awarded to Northeast Remsco Construction and involved #microtunneling to install 3,425 feet of 96-inch inside diameter reinforced concrete pipe in seven drives. Despite contract specification of open-cut installation of 5 ft. by 8ft. box culverts across Queens Blvd., Northeast Remsco Construction was again able to utilize microtunneling to install the 230 feet of 85-inch Hobas Pipe USA, Inc.
