  • The Northeast PA Manufacturers & Employers Association (MAEA) hosted a Legislative Roundtable at Mountain Valley's Clubhouse, bringing together state legislators and local manufacturers and employers. The legislative panel included Senator David Argall (R-29) and Representatives Joanne Stehr (R-107), Robert Leadbeter (R-109), Jonathan Fritz (R-111), Dane Watro (R-116), Jamie Walsh (R-117), Jim Haddock (R-118), Brenda Pugh (R-120), Doyle Heffley (R-122), Tim Twardzik (R-123), and Jamie Barton (R-124). The event, attended by over 85 participants, provided updates on key legislative issues such as the state budget, taxes/economy, regulatory reform, energy, infrastructure/transportation and additional threats to the business climate. Company representatives were also able to voice their operational challenges directly to the legislators, fostering important dialogue between industry leaders and policymakers. The next Legislative Roundtable is scheduled for October 3, 2025. MAEA will be honoring attending manufacturing companies in recognition of National Manufacturing Day.
