We convened our Quarterly Leadership Seminar yesterday and had a great session. Our speakers included Inversion6's Jason Middaugh - CISSP (a former NEOCC member), walking us through the intricacies of Microsoft licensing. His expertise advising clients was valuable to both the NEOCC members and guests who were in the audience. We also heard from Michael Dolan from the Linux Foundation, who discussed its essential work to support and advance the open-source software ecosystem on which we all rely (and which we are unaware of in most cases). While Mike is a Cleveland native, nearly all of his work is outside the region, so we were pleased to create an opportunity for our local cybersecurity professionals to connect with him. As always, the networking and community-building is an important part of our sessions. ?? ?? ??

Thank you to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)’s Cleveland Field Office for hosting our Quarterly Leadership Seminar yesterday. We had nearly 60 attendees, including both NEOCC members and guests. We heard a couple great presentations from field office staff, a panel on current SOC challenges (Daniel DeSantis, CISSP from GuidePoint Security, Jon Haas from Deepwatch, and Christian Harchelroad from Palo Alto Networks Unit 42), and a tour of a display of some the armaments used by FBI special agents over the years. Meeting was followed by a rooftop reception, sponsored by our colleagues at GuidePoint, Deepwatch and Unit 42. Looking forward to our next event with Fortress Security Risk Management and Binary Defense. Please join us!
