Welcome to the Northeast Mississippi Human Resources Association - NEMSHRA Chapter 196, an affiliate of SHRM.

NEMSHRA Mission: We provide opportunities for exchange of information among our members and promote the educational development of Human Resource professionals, aiding in their effectiveness in all phases of Human Resource Management and Administration. Northeast Mississippi Human Resources Association is an affiliate of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), we support a diverse group of Human Resource Professionals in Northeast Mississippi in their role as strategic business partners. One of our biggest objectives is to offer monthly meeting content that has been approved for continuing education or recertification credits for both SHRM & HRCI. Whether you are new to the HR field or have many years of HR experience, we are a local starting point for networking, information, professional development and continued support of excellence in Human Resources. We encourage local professionals to attend our meetings as guests, and hope that you will be encouraged to become a member of SHRM. We look forward to seeing you at an upcoming meeting or event!

In partnership with our chapter, NEMSHRA 196 and ICC Belden Workforce Development Division, we are offering a Hybrid (in-class & virtual) session for the SHRM Certification Prep Course in 2025. This session provides structure, guidance, and flexibility needed to pass your exam. We've partnered with SHRM to offer a program designed around the 2025 SHRM Learning System and SHRM BASK?. Be confident in your preparation by leveraging the most effective and up-to-date SHRM exam preparation program available, as well as being taught by a nationally certified instructor (SHRM-SCP). Contact the Division of Career and Workforce Education at 662.407.1537 to get information on how to register for the mid January session or call 662.321.1046 for more information. Check with your employer to see if this class qualifies for your company education assistance program, if available.
