  • Last Friday, the Northeast AHEC hosted our 11th-annual Kentucky Rural Behavioral Health Symposium. With a focus on suicide, this year's KRBHS brought together experts, advocates, and those with lived experience to address suicide prevention in northeastern Kentucky. From the latest research and trends to innovative prevention initiatives, we explored ways to support mental health and save lives in our communities. We hope to see you next year!

  • Last night, our Education Coordinator Megan McNeal attended the annual UK Women’s Wellness Event to promote our Harmony Dementia Care Training Program, a vital research project that offers support for those caring for loved ones with dementia. At the event, Megan shared information and handed out goodies to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s. But that’s not all – this November marks the third consecutive year that Megan has coordinated the Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk for Alzheimer’s Awareness! While early bird registration has ended, there’s still plenty of time to sign up. Last year, Turkey Trot raised over $10,000 to support individuals living with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers across UK St. Claire’s 11-county service region. Let’s make this year even bigger – register now!: https://lnkd.in/gitc3YHT
