The State Library provide books, state documents, e-books, e-audiobooks, STEM and book club kits, and interlibrary loan services.?You can also access online resources, including thousands of articles for scholarly research and general information, as well as topics in health, business, education, and academic studies. In addition to research databases, you can find a language learning resource, Mango, and a personal and professional development training program called Universal Class. The State Library also offers reference research and readers’ advisory to all North Dakotans through e-mail or over the phone. The traffic has picked up at the North Dakota State Capitol as the 69th Legislative Assembly has convened. Today, Gov. Kelly Armstrong delivered his 2025 State of the State Address to a joint session of the Legislative Assembly. He outlined a property tax relief and reform plan and addressed other challenges facing North Dakota. Also today, all new elected officials took their oath of office. Read more about Gov. Gov. Kelly Armstrong assumed office on Dec. 15, as the 34th governor of North Dakota. Armstrong took the oath of office on Friday, joined by his wife, Kjersti Armstrong, their children, Anna and Eli, other family members, and outgoing governor and first lady Doug and Kathryn Burgum. Secretary of State Michael Howe administered the oath to Gov. Armstrong and Lt. Gov. Michelle Strinden, who also was joined by family.

Congratulations to North Dakota students representing our state this week in Hawaii at the Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade! The Mandan High School Marching Band and Turtle Mountain Community High School cheerleaders will perform in at the Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade honoring veterans and armed forces on the?anniversary of the invasion of Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7. at 10 p.m. CT (opening ceremonies begin at 8:15 p.m. CT).
