Breaking News: The North Country National Scenic Trail is now an official unit of the National Park Service. This means it is now officially recognized as a unit of the National Park Service and thus, can be better promoted to the American public. It also ensures access to additional resources and funding opportunities, creating more equality in the National Trails System. The Ice Age and New England National Scenic Trails are now units, too. Hooray! So many thanks to DOI Secretary Deb Haaland, NPS Director Chuck Sams, and U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin for your commitment to trails, outdoor access, and conservation.
