Will the new Federal Administration affect the availability of C-PACE? The short answer is no, and here’s why: 1. C-PACE is Privately Funded C-PACE financing is entirely backed by private credit, with no reliance on government funding or tax incentives. While counties and cities partner with capital providers (like?North Bridge) to record assessments and sometimes facilitate payment collection, they play a minimal role in determining which projects are funded or how much capital is available. 2. State Legislation with Bipartisan Support C-PACE is made available through state legislation, which now exists in over 40 states across the political spectrum. Once enacted, it is highly unlikely that these laws will be changed or repealed. In both red and blue states, C-PACE is lauded for increasing building efficiency and resiliency and as a powerful driver of job creation and economic development. Good news for developers, cities, and all those who care about the environment: C-PACE is here to stay.

State legislators in New Hampshire started 2025 with a bi-partisan win to establish #CPACE in an effort to spur housing development as early as this summer. The Canary Media Inc. article reinforces what North Bridge has observed in the market—traditional lenders are increasingly embracing C-PACE: “Banks have also gained a lot of experience with these loans in the 15 years since the original law passed and are more comfortable with the model now.” “If a developer uses C-PACE to finance the energy components of a new build — heat pumps, solar panels, insulation, efficient windows — they can take out a smaller mortgage for the construction and need less equity to fund the development….It’s just benefit after benefit” Read more here: https://lnkd.in/ei7Sj6fv
