We at North America Central School Bus are thrilled to announce that we have received a grant from the EPA, resulting in the acquisition of 105 new electric school buses for four districts. This significant achievement will greatly benefit the North America Central School Bus partners, with Milwaukee Public Schools receiving 25 buses, East St. Louis SD 189 receiving 25 buses, St. Louis Public Schools receiving 30 buses, and Topeka Public Schools receiving 25 buses. “We are thrilled to mobilize 105 new zero-emission school buses for our district partners, delivering on our environmental goals of embracing sustainability, reducing emissions, and enhancing the communities in which we operate,” said North America Central School Bus President and CEO Steve Hemmerlein. During the holiday season, the Joliet Corporate Office took the initiative to positively impact those in need. Each staff member individually adopted children and families from the Fostering Hope-Project Me Foundation. It is commendable to hear that our Joliet team took the initiative to adopt foster children individually this holiday season, especially doing so out of their own pockets. This act of kindness shows their commitment and compassion towards making a positive impact in the lives of those in need, exemplifying the true spirit of the holidays.

This week, our corporate team had the pleasure of volunteering at the Feed My Starving Children - Aurora facility. Feed My Starving Children is a nonprofit that provides nutritionally complete meals for starving, malnourished, and hungry people. Our group packed 165 boxes, which resulted in 35,640 meals! These meals will feed 98 children daily for a year. Our team had a great time helping others during the giving season, and we definitely recommend that others check out Feed My Starving Children and volunteer for a session!
