Registration is required, and lunch will be provided. ? October 17th: Job Search Drop-In and Mini College Fair During the Job Search Drop-In, attendees can get their resumes reviewed, participate in mock interviews, and even have a professional headshot taken. Simultaneously, we will be hosting a Mini College Fair with several of our partner colleges and universities. North10 was established in 2018 as the parent organization of the Lenfest Center to serve the entire Hunting Park-East Tioga area of North Philadelphia (the Bethune catchment). As the community backbone, North10 brings organizational structure, focus, and capacity to leverage, coordinate, and facilitate the collective impact of our work together with that of our mission-based colleagues in the community. We collaborate with partners to facilitate strategic, resident-driven revitalization and service initiatives that foster economic growth, increase housing options enhance learning opportunities, and promote wellness.

DHS, the Pennsylvania Department of Health, and the Pennsylvania Insurance Department (PID) recently joined Black Maternal Health Caucus members Representative Morgan Cephas and Representative Gina Curry for a panel discussion centered on improving maternal health outcomes in Pennsylvania. During the panel, the Shapiro Administration met with maternal health advocates and community members at North10, Philadelphia to collect feedback and develop strategies for Pennsylvania’s Maternal Health Strategic Plan addressing health disparities, the high rates of maternal mortality – especially among Black women – and helping pregnant women in Pennsylvania get the prenatal and postpartum care they need to live healthy lives for both themselves and their children. ? The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is taking action against the state’s high maternal mortality rate, and we are hosting community events like this panel throughout Pennsylvania this fall in order to listen to input from Pennsylvanians with lived experience in maternal health.
