NSDCAC was chartered on April 20, 2013 to service North San Diego County. Twenty-four talented and visionary women emboldened with the same focus and determination as their Founders, set about doing the work of Delta in communities where they live. Nearly five years later with a growing, dedicated, and impassioned membership, NSDCAC continues its mission of public service by sponsoring and participating in a number of programs including: Delta Academy, a youth mentoring program; sponsorship of a free mammogram screening for women; hosts Love Your Heart blood pressure screenings; hosts Annual Armed Forces Day Brunch and Educational Forum in honor of local active-duty and veteran service members; and annually, presents monetary scholarship awards to eligible graduating high school seniors who are college bound. In addition, members are active volunteer participants in fundraisers for the Oceanside Alzheimer’s Walk, St. Jude’s Walk/Run, and support numerous other community based programs and services related to fulfilling its obligation and commitment Delta Sigma Theta’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust Initiatives.
