? ?? Another month, another great conversation with Brian and Tanner from 1310 KFKA's Good Morning NoCo — this time featuring Elisa and Isabel from the Suicide Education and Support Services (SESS) team! Winter is a season of shifts as our clocks change, cold weather arrives, and the days gets darker earlier. The lack of light often impacts our overall mood, our levels of social connection, and our ability to motivate ourselves. Each year, millions of people experience seasonal depression or Seasonal Affective Disorder related to these changes. Finding small ways to stay physically active is especially important right now! Movement boosts our body's feel-good chemicals that promote well-being like endorphins, dopamine, and serotonin. As we encourage ourselves and each other to find light in this season, we invite you to join the "Move Through the Darkness" challenge starting December 1st ?? ??: KFKA full interview: bit.ly/GM_mtd Info on "Move Through the Darkness": movethrough.org

Human beings are biologically wired to connect. Lacking connection hurts our health and well-being because it is as essential to survival as oxygen, food, water, and shelter. When we get lonely, it’s a sign that we could use some meaningful connection. Read this month’s blog to learn about Acts of Connection, a new initiative to promote connection and community in Weld County. https://lnkd.in/gVyJAGEb

Last week, North Range Marketing Director Micaela Sanchez and Dannon Cox, of Colorado School of Public Health at UNC, stopped by 1310 KFKA's Good Morning NoCo to talk about "Acts of Connection" — a new awareness campaign launching throughout Weld County aimed at combatting loneliness and social isolation. "There's different things we can do that just take small moments of our life to be able to say 'Hi, I'm in this world with you. We're existing together, and I'm really happy to see you.'" Check out the interview for more on how to take small steps to foster connection — with your community & with yourself: bit.ly/NRBH_aoc PS.
