Do you think a person's situation with money will never change? Just ask the 12 families who graduated from our no-cost Journey Program last week. They are living proof that it can! Collectively, our graduates paid down $45,552 in debt and saved $12,565 in emergency funds. Learning about money is a key step to managing it in real life. Our graduates learned how to budget, beat debt, save money, and work towards stability to help build a self-sustaining future. Let’s celebrate these graduates and all they have accomplished over the last 12 weeks.

We are beyond grateful and inspired to do more and serve more people! It is with immense gratitude that we share this news: North Raleigh Ministries has been awarded a $1 million grant from the highly competitive Wake County Community Capital program. The funds will complete the renovation of a new, larger building for our Crisis and Development Center and expand our reach to 70,000 households to meet increased demand from the region’s fast-growing status. [we'll share more on that with you in the coming months!] “Our organization is building strong foundations that continue to transform lives in our community,” Donna P., executive director of North Raleigh Ministries. “We are grateful to Wake County for this notable grant that will help us do more and serve more people in our fast-growing region,” she continued. “Our proven programs are creating a stronger community; 93% of Journey program graduates no longer need additional assistance after graduating – that’s the kind of long-term success that helps people create a bright and purposeful future.” View the news announcement here: https://lnkd.in/ek649GnP
