North Pole Studio was included in Willamette Week's '25 Reasons to Love Portland' and the title really makes me smile: Because a Good Thing is Getting Bigger. With so much overwhelming hardship and devastating shifts all around us, having the honor of leading an organization that is bringing impactful and positive change to the community that is tripling in size, is a beacon of hope to hold on to. I think it's important to highlight that an organization that supports artists with autism and intellectual/developmental disabilities is one of the fastest growing arts non-profits in Oregon right now. This is a population of artists that have been marginalized and vastly underserved throughout history, even though they have valuable contributions to share with the world. A good thing is getting bigger.

Thank you so much Tillamook County Creamery Association for the opportunity to highlight North Pole Studio artists' work and share more about our mission in honor of Disability Employment Awareness month! We came home dreaming about opportunities to collaborate (and let's be honest... of Ice Cream!) and look forward to our continued partnership. Thank you for amplifying our work.
At TCCA, we proudly celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month by honoring the unique talents of our colleagues, friends and community members with disabilities. This year, we invited our friends from North Pole Studio to showcase an inspiring art gallery at our Portland Outpost. The artists shared how their disabilities fuel their creativity and artistic techniques. Our employees enjoyed shopping for a variety of art pieces and merchandise, supporting these incredible artists.?
