We were happy to welcome the Sandusky County Teacher Business Boot Camp to TBH yesterday morning. Throughout the boot camp, we had the opportunity to educate teachers from Bellevue City Schools, Clyde-Green Springs Schools, Fremont City Schools, Gibsonburg Schools, and Vanguard-Sentinel Career and Technology Center. Overall, the boot camp's objective was to acquaint teachers with a range of healthcare career paths, empowering them to offer better guidance to their students. During the boot camp, teachers had the chance to listen to presentations delivered by representatives from various TBH departments including Finance, Patient Financial Services, Environmental Services, Health Information Technology and Telecommunications, Med/Surg & ICU, Supply Chain/Materials Management, and Nutritional Services. Additionally, attendees were able to tour departments such as Pharmacy, Perioperative Services, Diagnostic Imaging, and Lab. These tours showcased the inner workings of each department, offering valuable insights into their operations. A big shout out to NORTH POINT EDUCATIONAL SERVICE CENTER and Sandusky County Economic Development Corporation for bringing this boot camp to area businesses once again this year. We are honored to be part of this worthwhile program!

The Huron County Teacher Business Bootcamp, an innovative program designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and local industry careers, has successfully completed its third annual session. This year's program welcomed 9 dedicated educators from across Huron County.?Funded by the Governor’s Office of Workforce Transformation and organized by NORTH POINT EDUCATIONAL SERVICE CENTER and our Business Advisory Council, this year's program welcomed 9 dedicated educators from across Huron County. “This experience completely changed the way I am going to approach teaching my class. Previously it was just content, but I think I can make a bigger impact and better connections if the students see what is available to them in their own county. I think every teacher should take this course and I will be encouraging all my coworkers to do so” said Marina Mahl, teacher participant from Willard City Schools.?
