Huge thanks to our incredible speakers who brought the history, impact, and vision of the Oros Project to life: ?- Aaron Thomas, NET’s OG Director of Urban Forestry - Holly Harper, AIA Harper, Former Architect & Project Manager who led the completion of the Oros Street Project in 2007 - Luis Rangel, NET’s Construction Manager - Drew R., Senior Project Manager at the Council for Watershed Health - Jason Casanova, Director of Planning & Information Design at the Council for Watershed Health A bit of context: ?Back in the late 1990s and early 2000s, North East Trees helped build six pocket parks along the LA River in Cypress Park and Frogtown—including the ones we visited yesterday: ?- Oso Park ?- Steelhead Park ?- Egret Park We also toured LA’s first-ever Green Street: The Oros Green Street Project, completed in 2007—an inspiring example of creative green infrastructure and community-rooted design. Yesterday was a powerful reminder of what collaboration can do. Now, let’s imagine what else is possible. We need all of us to keep this vision alive. Join us.
