The NSF ENGINES: North Dakota Advanced Agriculture Technology Engine had an excellent week strengthening relationships with Tribal thought partners and exploring emerging research topics related to regenerative agriculture, food security, buffalo rematriation, soil and climate science, community health and wellness, and economic development. I’d like to express my gratitude to Wozu and Sitting Bull College for hosting this incredible series of ideation convenings and Jodi Archambault for connecting folks from Tribal nations and organizations from across the region. Immense gratitude for the Wozu crew who kept our bodies nourished and the coffee on! I’d also like to take a moment to thank those representing FARMS who came to learn and understand how we can best support and strengthen opportunities for Indigenous led research.
