October was an exciting month at NDSP as team members have been heavily engaged with the startup of our soybean processing plant. The facility began operations in early October processing beans, and loading the first railcar with meal and pellets. That was followed by the refinery startup, which is currently producing?Refined and Bleached?(RB) oil. The facility expects to produce?Refined, Bleached, and Deodorized?(RBD) oil in the coming weeks. NDSP has produced quality products from day one, has loaded meal trains, oil cars, and soyhull pellet cars, and has had quite a bit of truck loading. Thanks to all who have helped make this possible!

NDSP received our first tractor with a pup trailer today.?It worked great! But, do you know what a pup trailer is? ?? ? Pup trailers are a shorter semi-trailer type, typically 26 to 32 feet long, with a single axle, two axles, or a heavy-duty tri-axle. They get the name “pup trailer” because they appear to be on a “leash” behind the primary truck. NDSP's dump pits are designed to accommodate these short second trailers, as well as super bee trailers as well!
