#bitcoiners and Data Center folks - I have a question I need answering. This question is two parts and has to do with feedback about AI controllability and mobility. I recently had a conversation with a manufacturer doing market discovery for new products and our discussion lead to an area of the industry I've had conflicting information on in the past. So I want to hear from my Linked In connections on their opinion. We all know too well how utilities are struggling with flat loads with high uptime and no interruption due to the lack of dispatchable generation. We also know how picked over available infrastructure is on grid. We all know how blown out construction timelines are for distribution subs, etc. So. 1. Will AI model of data centers adapt to a more flexible load type, spot pricing on card leasing, in order to tap more available generation? Will they adapt to down time to scale faster? Will they abandon N+1 and operate more akin to #bitcoin? 2. Will we see an insurgence in high quality "mobile data centers" in compared to the bitcoin "chicken coops" in order to scale modularly, quickly and colocated? Good Friday Morning! We're going to start this morning with a bit of a history lesson on data mining and HPC data centers in #Northdakota and how Commerce missed the mark and left a black eye on an industry that could otherwise transform value for all North Dakotans. This should be a wakeup call for voters this fall to bring in a changing of the guard in the Governor’s Office that will bring accountability back to ND Commerce - because they are doing it again. Using fire engine terms like "hyperscale" and "gigawatt" to drive press releases on nonstarters. Flash back. It all started in 2022 with former Commissioner of Commerce James Lehman, appointed by Doug Burgum. Lehman sent now Commissioner Josh Teigen went to Bitcoin Miami, not even Mining Disrupt which focuses on mining, to recruit miners.?A trip that cost them 35k for some reason. Source: https://lnkd.in/e_2raqmm In his visit he touted North Dakota energy as amongst the cleanest on the planet – which is entirely false. The truth is we are largely backed by coal and gas power and boast some of the best prices and reliability, a draw of their own. Additionally, during this visit, they boasted they were “reeling in whales.” One of which was the much-touted Kevin O Leary. At no point was there an attempt to educate themselves on the local efforts in this industry, the market, or mining in general. At no point did our representatives attempt to build up whales, instead of reeling them in. In fact, they had no concept that this was happening in their own state. The companies that existed built by locals. The local “whales” didn’t have the political clout to advance Commerce careers. Furthermore, they did not educate themselves on the grid level power availability or the makeup here in the state. They did not call power providers, miners, anyone. Winging it. Kevin O Leary was brought back to North Dakota with BitZero, a company that in it’s name touts clean energy. Fitting then they were going to make their corporate headquarters in North Dakota, right?
