The North Carolina Zoo is always buzzing with activity, but the recent sighting of a native white deer is particularly exciting! Interestingly, this event coincides with the release of Nicholas Sparks’s novel, *Counting Miracles*, which is set in Asheboro and features a white deer in its storyline.? Zoo staff actively monitor native wildlife, using cameras to track species like bobcats and foxes. Here's an update on yesterday's post: We're pleased to announce that the Hurricane Helene offer has been extended until December 24th. To accommodate the increased traffic, the Africa Plaza and Ticketing will remain open until December 1st. Additionally, Billy D's and the Gift Shops will stay open until that date. Please note, however, that Zoo Trekker Africa will close on November 15th. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us!

The cooler weather is a fantastic time to visit the Zoo! However, before you plan your trip, please note that we are currently operating under our Fall/Winter hours schedule: ?? The Kaleidoscope Butterfly Garden and Carousel are now closed. ?? All other attractions, including Zoofari, Treehouse Trek, Air Hike, and the Giraffe Deck, will remain open until November 15. ?? Akiba Market and Africa Parking will close on November 16, along with the Connector Trail and Parking shuttle. We look forward to seeing you!
