On Wednesday, the Office of Violence Prevention recognized members of the first North Carolina Community Violence Advisory Board at a reception at the NC Governor’s Mansion. “The advisory board has been a critical resource for our office in its first year. They’ve been a partner in developing our strategic plan, and they’ve helped us understand how we best can support communities across our state,” said Siarra Scott, acting director of the NC Office of Violence Prevention. Advisors represent perspectives from sectors including law enforcement, community-based organizations, educational institutions and healthcare. Read the strategic plan at https://bit.ly/410hBy8.
