The letter argues the proposal fails to meet legal requirements and raises significant public policy concerns. ? #NCPolitics: Governor Roy Cooper vetoed S 382, the "Disaster Recovery Act of 2024 – Part III," calling it unconstitutional and a political maneuver. Lawmakers could begin a veto override vote as early as Monday, with plans to conclude the legislative session by December 13. ? #RegulatoryUpdate: Federal banking regulators indicated that major rulemakings will be delayed until 2025 under new leadership. FDIC Chairman Martin Gruenberg confirmed no significant actions are planned for the remainder of the current administration.

The beginning of the holiday season signals the end of the fall semester at NC colleges and universities, and it was a busy one for the NCBA’s Future Bank Leaders Program!
