The North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher connects nearly 500,000 visitors a year with nature and animals. Open Daily 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. year round The Aquarium is closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. The Aquarium is wheelchair accessible.

Cold-stunning happens when sea turtles are exposed to frigid water temperatures, making them lethargic and unable to swim. Thanks to our dedicated team (and your support!), these turtles have regained their strength and are ready to thrive in their natural habitat. Wishing them safe travels and calm seas! ????
