? January Featured Project ? Happy New Year! We're thrilled to start 2025 with the first featured project of our 2025 Horner Wall Calendar! This month, we’re proud to showcase a Cooper Preassembled Stair that combines incredible design, engineering, and craftsmanship. Built in our Somerset, MA woodworking shop, this stair is both a functional work of art and a technical marvel. Spanning from the second to the third floor, it leads to a rooftop deck with breathtaking ocean views. This double-helix design defies gravity with inner and outer wooden stringers providing all the support—no central post required! CRAFTED WITHOUT COMPROMISE // The homeowners wanted a stair that maintained the compact footprint of a spiral staircase but offered greater comfort and usability. Traditional spiral staircases often have drawbacks, including narrow treads that taper to a near point, making them difficult to walk on. In contrast, this staircase was designed with a comfortable “walk line,” ensuring that even at their narrowest point, the treads provide ample depth. The result is a stair that is as practical as it is beautiful.
