?? We celebrated a major milestone at the Skills for Sustainability (#S4S) program graduation ceremony in Ciudad Juárez and El Paso! ???? NADBank representative CARLOS ACEVEDO, PE, MS, PMP?joined partners from The Trust for the Americas and Jóvenes Constructores de la Comunidad, A.C. to celebrate the graduation of 123 participants of the Jale por el Agua program. This initiative equips participants with digital, life, and technical skills tailored for entry-level roles in the water sector, helping to meet the growing demand for skilled water operators across the U.S.-Mexico border. This impactful program, funded by #NADBank and Microsoft, has already trained over 217 students in #Juárez and continues to foster sustainable development and workforce resilience in the region. We extend our gratitude to Jóvenes Constructores, ICATECH, and #CECATI for their contributions in delivering specialized training in plumbing and water pump maintenance. Congratulations to all graduates embarking on their new career paths, whether in water utilities or pursuing further education. Over 200 people from both sides of the river joined Texas Water Foundation and our partners the U.S. International Boundary and Water Commission and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality for the State of the Rio Grande virtual bridge event on November 21st. We heard from leaders on Minute 331, experts on water supply and demand, and opportunities for hope along the Rio Grande. Today, NADBank's Chief Environmental Officer Salvador López Córdova participated in the panel “Partnerships for sustainability, industry, agriculture and water management for food security” where he underlined #NADBank's commitment to increasing the #sustainable management of water, its reuse and the diversification of sources for the #agriculture sector, as well as the continued support to communities in the U.S.-Mexico border region. El día de ayer en Ciudad Juárez, Jorge Márquez Gaspar, Project Manager, y Pierina Nepote Rangel, Senior Program Manager, celebraron junto a nuestro socio local?Jóvenes Constructores de la Comunidad, A.C. ?la graduación de una nueva cohorte del proyecto S4S. ? ?? S4S es nuestra primera iniciativa binacional entre México y Estados Unidos, dise?ada para cerrar la brecha entre las personas en busca de empleo y las necesidades de un sector clave: el sector del agua. Hasta ahora, 217 personas en Ciudad Juárez se han graduado de S4S, adquiriendo habilidades?técnicas, digitales y personales que les permiten transformar su futuro. Al mismo tiempo, apoyamos a las empresas a construir una fuerza laboral capacitada, fomentando el desarrollo sostenible en la región fronteriza. ? ?? NADBank presented at the XXXVI ANEAS Annual Convention and Expo 2024 taking place in the city of #Chihuahua from November 19th to 22nd. NADBank's Chief Environmental Officer Salvador López Córdova, during his participation in the panel “Reuse of wastewater: Self-financing business structures”, underlined #NADBank's commitment to increasing the sustainable management of water resources and the continued support to communities in northern Mexico to finance their water and wastewater treatment projects. In this regard, he highlighted the importance of implementing actions for water reuse, which helps diversify water supplies, generates economic savings for the utilities and contributes to the conservation of the resource. We thank ANEAS DE MéXICO A.C. for its invitation to attend one of the premiere events in the water sector in Latin America.
