The Elene is underway! We are thrilled to announce that construction on Napa Valley’s newest boutique resort has begun, slated for completion in early 2026. Managed by Mosaic Hotel Collection, this innovative resort and dining experience includes 46 vineyard view rooms and four luxury suites, as well as an upscale restaurant, bar, and café for guests and the public. Located along the Napa Valley Vine Trail, the Elene will balance luxury and adventure to offer guests a unique engagement with the region’s community and stunning scenery. While we now think of Sonoma County as wine country, hops initially put the region on the map. This iconic fieldstone structure now known as Landmark Vineyard’s Hop Kiln Estate was built by Italian stonemasons in 1905 and was originally used for drying and baling hops for the booming beer industry. It is said to be the most significant surviving example of a stone hop kiln in the North Coast region. Goodnight’s Steakhouse blends Old Western charm with opulent sophistication. This project meticulously transformed a historic site into a uniquely dapper restaurant honoring the legendary Texas Ranger Charles Goodnight. We were thrilled to discover that Sonoma Magazine covered our client Tisza Bistro’s reopening in Healdsburg. Chef Krisztian Karkus closed his Windsor location in 2020, then relocated to the former Singletree Cafe after extensive renovations by Nordby Construction. The Eastern European destination restaurant Czech and Hungarian classics from schnitzel and strudel in a bright, airy setting with an open kitchen.

Congratulations to our client Alexander Valley Vineyards (AVV) for their recent inclusion in Good Morning America’s Bucket List on a Budget series California Wine Country Adventure segment and resulting appearance in The Press Democrat. Our recent AVV project added 22,000 square feet of continuous underground storage space, making the AVV wine cave among the largest in the region. Nordby’s long working relationship with the Wetzel family began with the construction of their first wine cave in 1997.
