Accelerate: Citizens Make Change is a unique event that provides a platform for everyday citizens to share their ideas for a better Cleveland with hundreds of leaders from across the region and possibly win funding. NOPEC is thrilled to partner with Cleveland Leadership Center on the launch of a new Climate & Energy Innovation category for Accelerate 2025 that is aimed at developing innovative solutions for energy efficiency and collective climate action. Applications will be accepted through 12/6/24!

Residents in Mayfield Heights can now sign up for the Do Not Knock program! NOPEC's Do Not Knock program helps protect residents from aggressive or misleading for-profit solicitors knocking on their doors. When a resident signs up for this free program, their address is added to a list of homes and businesses that for-profit solicitors are not allowed to visit. NOPEC maintains the registry and sends everyone who signs up two free window clings to place near their door as an added reminder for solicitors. With help from NOPEC's Energized Community (NEC) Grant, the City of Broadview Heights recently completed roof upgrades on buildings within their city campus! After cleaning and sealing four of these roofs, they then installed Henry Pro Grade silicone roof coating which will help lower the buildings' cooling costs and prolong the life of their HVAC systems by reflecting heat from the sun.
