"Centuries-old Indian music and dance meets 21st-century sensibilities, thanks to the artists of Nootana. The volunteer group performs traditional art forms, smoothly integrating innovation and tradition. The ensemble celebrated Asian Pacific American Heritage month in May with an original dance drama." - Voice of America We are a 100% volunteer-run, award-winning non profit organization. Looking to volunteer with us? We have quite a few open positions for those looking to contribute to the community and be a part of a great organization on its 9th year in DC. Recipient of NBC4 Washington “Working 4 the Community” award in May 2018 for our contribution to culture and the arts during Asian American / Pacific Heritage Month that year.
