We are happy to share that the HIPs Navigator is live and making an impact! It was a pleasure collaborating with MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership, FP2030, and our partners at noodle research + strategy to create this tool that enhances accessibility and usability for family planning practitioners worldwide. We believe that intuitive and user-centered design can drive meaningful change in global health. The Navigator’s ability to streamline insights based on key objectives will empower users to find and apply high-impact practices more effectively. Check out the Navigator tool - hosted as a new pop-up feature and on the landing page of the HIPs for Family Planning website here: https://lnkd.in/eaEQX6NM A big thanks to all our partners, collaborators, and colleagues: Anne Pfitzer, Aimee Dickerson, Laura Raney, FP2030, Kevin Shane, Anna Lawton, Neha Singh, Bhavesh Bhateja, Esha Kalra, Jyoti Narayan, Anish Uddaraju #HumanCenteredDesign #UserExperienceDesign #FamilyPlanning #GlobalHealthInnovation
Has anyone recently consulted the High Impact Practices (HIPs) for Family Planning website? If you have, you may have noticed a new pop-up feature, the HIPs Navigator, on the landing page of the HIPs website (see https://lnkd.in/dhTCcyAi). The Navigator allows users to query HIPs according to key objectives for accessing the site, namely whether the user intends to: - Reach diverse underserved groups - Engage communities to address bias and stigma - Reduce financial barriers Each of these objectives can then be further narrowed. When one selects sub-objectives, the relevant HIPs to consult are highlighted and a brief synopsis of the brief appears if one clicks on a relevant HIP square. Links can also direct users to the full version of the brief. At the top right, users can change the language of the Navigator from English to either French, Spanish or Portuguese. In addition to the small and mighty team at FP2030 that works on the HIPs, this feature was made possible by my team at MOMENTUM Country and Global leadership, including Aimee Dickerson, Quicksand Design Studio and noodle research + strategy colleagues. We hope the tool makes exploring how HIPs can enhance impact in family planning more frictionless to all in our global community. But please share your thoughts in the comments... #MadePossiblebyFamilyPlanning

Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming Human-Centered Design (HCD), offering incredible opportunities to create more personalized and effective user experiences.? However, this powerful technology also presents a complex web of ethical considerations that designers must carefully navigate.? As we increasingly rely on AI to inform design decisions, it's crucial to address the potential for bias, privacy violations, and a lack of transparency.? In this post, we explore how responsible design practices are essential to ensure that AI-powered HCD benefits all users and avoids unintended harm. cc: Anna Lawton, Kevin Shane https://lnkd.in/efWGfhMC #AI #HCD #humancentereddesign #innovation #collaboration #tech #ethics #dataethics #research #designresearch #qualitativeresearch

Human-Centered Design (HCD) puts the user at the heart of the design process. It's about understanding their needs, motivations, and pain points to create products and services that are truly valuable and enjoyable. But what if we could supercharge HCD with the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI)?? In this post, we explore how AI is rapidly transforming how we approach design, offering exciting new possibilities for automating tasks, analyzing data, and generating deeper insights than ever before. cc: Anna Lawton, Kevin Shane https://lnkd.in/dBqsdyYP #AI #innovation #tech #collaboration #empathy #compassion #UX #userexperience #hcd #humancentereddesign #systemsthinking #design #research #designresearch #qualitativeresearch

As dog “parents”, we know firsthand how much our four-legged, furry friends impact our daily lives and even inspire us to be better people; they’re a constant source of entertainment, and provide a daily opportunity to observe the behaviors of something totally different to ourselves. While it might seem unconventional, our furry friends, particularly dogs, can offer surprising insights into the qualities of a successful qualitative researcher. In this post, we take a closer look at some key traits that our canine companions embody and that can be applied to the field of qualitative research. cc: Anna Lawton, Kevin Shane https://lnkd.in/eNZQpcVA #research #qualitativeresearch #innovation #inspiration #collaboration #empathy #curiosity #dogs
