This week, the HLAC Board of Directors gathered in Toronto, Canada, for our annual meeting. The days were filled with productive strategizing and collaboration among an incredible group of industry professionals. HLAC took an innovative approach by inviting a few laundry representatives to join us virtually. Sharing a snapshot of the team in action for the International System Safety Society (ISSS) 2024 Summit & Training in Minneapolis end of August! Nonprofit Resources onboarded ISSS as a client in Q2 of this year and quickly planned the annual week-long event that hosted 220+ attendees from over 8 countries, including a huge demographic of first-time attendees. Looking around the room, I realized that the work done by these safety system professionals has saved countless lives and helped build a safer future as technology continues to advance. Research, education, and networking at events like this Summit & Training are essential components for the progress of any industry. A big shout out to Maria Eide and Kristen Thayer for their hard work on-site and Pamela Cole and Stephanie Bisoni for all their support in pre-planning.
