If you know me, you know I am a huge nerd for two things: Northeast Florida Data and data access/transparency ! As a board member of the Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida I'm proud to support an organization that has been a trusted advocate for our region's nonprofits for over 20 years. Through catalyst, we can ensure vital data access for our policy makers, community leaders, and healthcare providers. Health insurance coverage is a key factor in ensuring individuals can access the medical care they need. While some areas of Northeast Florida have strong coverage rates, others face significant gaps, with rates as low as 43% in Lake Como (32157) and 18% in Northwest Jacksonville (32254). Lack of health insurance can create barriers to preventive care, increase financial strain on families and contribute to poorer health outcomes. Identifying these disparities helps inform targeted interventions, policy solutions, and resource allocation to ensure that more residents have access to the care they need. If you want to get data nerdy with me and learn more about our community, check out the Catalyst Dashboard Bit.ly/4httUr2

As a?board member of the Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida, I’m proud to support an organization that has been a trusted advocate for our region’s nonprofits for over 20 years. Through the?Catalyst Dashboard, we provide essential data that helps community leaders, businesses, and policymakers drive equitable economic growth. ??Per capita income is a key indicator of economic well-being, offering insight into the financial health of communities. In Northeast Florida, the average per capita income is $41,761, slightly higher than Florida’s overall average of $41,055. However, income levels vary widely across the region: 32082 ZIP code reports per capita incomes of $ $90,902, while others, like ZIP Code 32209, report $19,138. ??These income gaps highlight inequities in economic opportunity and underscore the need for?targeted investments in workforce development, entrepreneurship, and access to resources?that create pathways to financial stability. The?Catalyst Dashboard?helps articulate these disparities, equipping decision-makers with the data needed to foster inclusive economic growth.? Explore the data here: https://bit.ly/3XLbHOF

As a?board member of the Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida, I’m proud to support an organization that has been a trusted advocate and capacity-building resource for nonprofits in our region for over 20 years. Through Catalyst, we provide valuable data to help community leaders, educators, and policymakers make informed decisions that shape the future of our children. The first five years of life are critical for a child’s development, and?kindergarten readiness is a key predictor of future academic success. According to the 2022 Florida Department of Education, Office of Early Learning readiness rates vary significantly across Northeast Florida, St. Johns County?has the highest kindergarten readiness rate at?65.3% while Baker County?has the lowest rate at?38.2%. This disparity underscores the need for?targeted early childhood interventions, access to preschool programs, and strong community partnerships?to ensure every child enters school ready to learn and thrive. Catalyst sheds light on these gaps, helping us identify where resources are needed most. Explore the data and be part of the effort to improve early childhood education: https://bit.ly/3FAwkqz Thank you for your leadership, Dawn Lockhart!
