--- EN ?? NodeLand is Now Live on ProductHunt ?? This is a personal project I started because I always had a lot of difficulty organizing my notes during my undergraduate and master’s studies. I tried several tools, but none of them worked for me. Knowledge is built through association, so I wanted to see my notes not as isolated pieces of information, but as a dynamic network of interconnected ideas. Obsidian has a similar concept, but I wanted something even more visual and customizable. NodeLand combines the power of mind maps with the functionality of a note-taking tool, allowing the creation of interactive documents that go far beyond linear notes, making it easier to connect the dots and truly understand the bigger picture. Let me walk you through how I used NodeLand to create an accurate AI generated mindmap based on an intelligence report. This was insanely easy and the results were great! First, this is the color and shape coded legend for the mindmap: Star - Estonian Intel Report from 2024 Triangles - Organizations, Coalitions or Groups Diamond - Countries Red - Identified threats Orange - Identified counters to threats Green - Geopolitical Gray - Processes, procedures, resources and strategy At the end I will give you a link so you can explore the mindmap for yourself. From my dashboard > New > I filled out some information the title — Estonia Intelligence Report — and a short description. Then I chose Use AI. NodeLand analyzed the latest Estonian Intelligence Report and accurately outlined what Estonia identified as being the greatest threats to the nation. First image: The report highlighted security threats from Russia which included military and cyber threats (including information warfare and hybrid threats). It correctly identified coordination with Estonia, NATO and the EU and touched on the regional geopolitical dynamics between security threats, Russia, the EU and NATO. I then asked NodeLand to expand this map using AI. (image 3) NodeLand correctly added some strategies to counter security threats mentioned in Estonia’s Intelligence report — such as using counter-espionage to counter foreign espionage (which it added as a threat). It specifically mentioned coordination on cyber security to assure economic security and that this action would rely on new technologies. This is a really impressive result. As a side note — I have not fully explored this feature yet, but NodeLand includes a presentation mode where you can set the jump points to zoom in on as a presentation.
