While superstition tends to be relatively harmless, OCD, on the other hand, should be addressed with specialty care, given its tendency to get worse when left untreated. ?? That’s how I regained my life and myself.” On the “Get to know OCD” podcast, Camaryn opened up about living with “the doubting disorder" and how getting the right #OCDtreatment helped her make peace with uncertainty. She also shared her personal experience with the exhaustion of resisting compulsions and how even though it can be tough not to engage with OCD's what-ifs, it's worth it. It can be hard to find a provider for OCD treatment. While 1 in 40 adults are living with OCD in the United States alone, very few therapists are properly trained in the most effective treatment for it. This leads to? steep costs, long waitlists, and professionals saying they treat #OCD without having the necessary education and training to be considered specialists—and OCD requires specialized treatment. The KnowOCD Gamechangers Directory addresses these issues head-on, helping the OCD community find qualified providers they can trust. This free, first-of-its-kind resource was made by the KnowOCD Foundation and OCD Gamechangers, a nonprofit raising awareness of OCD and proper care. We’re proud to provide this directory as a resource for the OCD community and to share more about the rigorous vetting process for each therapist listed.
