A very interesting article by #MIT While we all embrace potential of #ArtificialIntellegence let’s also think about it’s unpredictability and limits to avoid hype/bubble pitfalls with risk-based approach. I personally think that #AI needs another layer and technological jump toward a coherent, logical and reliable processing logic. In product development and technology evolution of AI, KPIs and metrics play a critical role. We essentially need to measure #AI system’s performance and accuracy against its previous releases/versions as well as vs. non-AI legacy incumbent processes and systems. For example consider false approval and rejection rates in language processing models (vs manual), #BiometricAuthentication in user verification and onboarding (vs. legacy question-based systems), predictive inventory management (vs. seasonal effects and historical volumes), autonomous driving, and the list goes on…

I had amazing time at RS CyberCon conference and making new professional friends, focused on #Cybersecurity in #retail domain. Thank you so much Tony Abi-Jaoude and the team for inviting me and hosting such high quality conference and fun event. With no doubt, Retail industry is one of the top domains with the mass transactional and credential volumes, with very high potential for introducing next-generation technologies to elevate #CyberResilience, frictionless use cases and loyalty for users and brands. Imagine secured touchless biometric or single-click checkouts, #authentication, and transaction approvals, in #ecommerce or in-store retail, empowered by #Personalization and #Paytech tailored to each user or brand. #DigitalSecurity and #UserConvenience is not a trade off anymore, but rather a handshake in digital era, if implemented effevtively with best cross-industry practices.

It was amazing to be invited to #SECTOR organized by Security Education Conference Toronto (SecTor) BlackHat in #Toronto and meeting up with my former colleagues and making new connections and learning about upcoming #Cybersecurity #ArtificialIntelligence and #DigitalIdentity solutions and offerings. It was very interesting to see the latest developments in #FraudDetection and #FraudPrevention and how the #Compliance (e.g. #NIST #SOC #PCI) can be automated at certification and operational levels towards #BusinessContinuity #CyberResilience by the incumbent and new vendors and brands. I humbly believe that being actively in the front line and behind the scenes of these technologies for 20 years, helping top ranked and largest organizations by introducing novel products and services across mass-scale critical infrastructures, and contributing to respective standards and frameworks is a testimony to my deep passion for it.
