?? Happy Nowruz! ?? As we welcome the new year and the arrival of spring, we celebrate renewal, hope, and new beginnings. For many, this Nowruz marks a fresh start in a new home, building new lives in America. But we also recognize those who are still waiting for safety, separated from their loved ones, and facing uncertainty. To all who observe, may this year bring you peace, strength, and brighter days ahead. We stand with our SIV allies and will continue working to ensure no one is left behind. #NoOneLeftBehind?#Nowruz?#NewBeginnings
关于我们
Our mission is to resettle every Afghan and Iraqi combat interpreter in the United States over the next 10 years. We focus on recipients of Special Immigrant Visas. This class of visa was designed for Afghans and Iraqis who worked with United States forces during the post-9/11 military campaigns, generally as combat interpreters in front-line units. The men and women our charity benefits have served multiple combat tours, and have acquitted themselves with honor, courage, and distinction. Most arrive in the United States penniless, disconnected from family support networks, and unequipped to build new lives. By providing financial assistance, employment counseling, and political advocacy we honor our nation’s promise to these valiant young men and women.

The Osmanis are finally safe. They arrived in Sacramento last week and are now able to rebuild their lives and dream of a future for themselves and their children. Now in his new home, when Mr. Osmani thinks of his family's next steps, "he envisions a bright future in America, where his kids can go to school and eventually give back to the country that took his family in.” (AP) With?a travel ban expected to impact Afghans as soon as this week, No One Left Behind is continuing to work around the clock to secure flights and futures for as many Afghan SIV holders as possible. Help us build these futures with our Afghan allies: https://lnkd.in/gXwpRzzr Read the full AP story here: https://lnkd.in/ekfu-UkC If you have a Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) in hand and are eligible for travel, please submit your information through this link to request flight support: https://wkf.ms/3PSpSgN

We are so grateful that Aman and his family arrived safely to the United States. Aman and so many others who stood with the U.S. deserve safety and a future. We are continuing to work around the clock to book as many flights as possible for our Afghan allies with Special Immigrant Visas (SIVs). Give today to provide a good and bright future for our Afghan allies and their families:? https://lnkd.in/ebwVhSbK If you have a Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) in hand and are eligible for travel, please submit your information through this link to request flight support: https://wkf.ms/3PSpSgN

No One Left Behind’s statement in response to the initial reports of the proposed travel ban: “It is in America’s national interest to secure our closest wartime allies and bring them to safety where they contribute to our national strength and prosperity. SIV holders have been vetted, often for years, and have demonstrated their faithful and valuable service to our nation. We appreciate the attention to enhanced vetting and recognize the multi-agency, biometric, and intelligence screening already conducted on SIV holders. They have demonstrated their allegiance to the United States in service and in vetting and should be allowed to come to safety without undue delay, and we are deeply concerned at reporting that they may be implicated in the suspension of admissions for all Afghan nationals.” - Andrew Sullivan, Executive Director, No One Left Behind Please note that tonight’s reporting addresses a draft country list. As of March 14, admissions eligibility has not changed for the countries named. We remain committed to ensuring Afghan and Iraqi SIV holders remain eligible to enter the United States. At No One Left Behind, we mean it when we say we are committed to keeping our promise to our Afghan allies. Aman is one of the many allies that has made it to the U.S., all made possible by the generosity of our NOLB community. We have been working around the clock to bring as many Afghan SIV holders to the United States before borders potentially close. Since February 1, we have booked over 500 flights and we plan to bring as many to safety until we can’t. We need your help. Hundreds of Afghan allies remain abroad with visas issued and hundreds more have arrived, but lack the support they would ordinarily get from halted reception and placement programs. Your support ensures that America’s wartime allies receive not just safe passage, but the resources and opportunities necessary to rebuild their lives with dignity and upward mobility. Dead phone. Traveling with kids. A 14-hour international flight. Who wouldn't be exhausted? But for this family, this wasn’t just another trip—it was a journey to freedom. We’re simply grateful they made it safely. This is one of many thank-you messages we are privileged to receive, but these words are for each and every person who supports No One Left Behind. Whether you give, volunteer, advocate, or share—you are part of this mission, and we are grateful for you. Time is running out to bring more deserving allies and their families to safety. Let’s keep our promise. Give today: https://lnkd.in/gXwpRzzr #NoOneLeftBehind #Gratitude #NewBeginnings

Tonight, the House Rules Committee removed two lifesaving provisions for our Afghan allies – 20,000 Special Immigrant Visas (SIVs) and a two-year extension of the program – from the continuing resolution (CR) put forward by House leadership. As members of the committee raised, SIV holders have completed enhanced vetting to demonstrate their valuable service and continued commitment to U.S. national interests. While this is a setback, we remain committed to working with our bipartisan partners to secure these visas for our Afghan allies. Please note, our work to fly SIV holders to safety continues and is no less urgent. If you have a U.S. visa in hand and are eligible for travel, please submit your information through this link: https://wkf.ms/3PSpSgN?

As we honor International Women’s Day, we stand in solidarity with the girls and women in Afghanistan enduring gender apartheid. For our women allies who supported the U.S. mission—whether as SIV holders themselves or as daughters, wives, and sisters of wartime allies—the danger is even greater as we work to bring them to safety. We are all the more grateful to be part of stories like Rabia’s - one of hope, resilience, and a future where every woman’s potential is realized. Give today: https://lnkd.in/gXwpRzzr —- RABIA’S STORY As an Afghan woman building my career as a water resources engineer in the United States, I faced challenges not only in navigating a highly specialized field but also in ensuring my professional growth aligned with my values. One critical step in my career was obtaining the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification, a credential that would significantly elevate my professional profile and open doors to greater opportunities in engineering. However, preparing for the FE exam required both time and financial resources, which posed a challenge for me. I wanted to invest in the best study materials and courses but was hesitant to take on loans with interest, as they conflict with my Islamic principles. In the U.S., finding financial assistance that respects these values is rare, which can often leave Muslims feeling excluded from common opportunities. This is where No One Left Behind became a lifeline. They offered me an interest-free educational loan, a rare and invaluable support for someone in my position. Not only did they provide the financial assistance I needed, but they also respected and upheld my faith, ensuring I could pursue my goals without compromising my beliefs. This unique privilege stood out to me as a testament to their commitment to inclusivity and understanding the needs of the Muslim community. With their support, I have been preparing for the FE certification exam. This opportunity strengthens my professional standing as a water resources engineer, allowing me to contribute more effectively to my field.?More importantly, it reaffirmed my belief that pursuing excellence in my career doesn’t have to come at the cost of my values. No One Left Behind’s interest-free loan program not only empowered me but also set a profound example of how organizations can create opportunities that are accessible and inclusive. It’s a reminder that when we uphold shared values, no one truly gets left behind.

??Advocacy Update — We are encouraged that the U.S. House of Representatives’ Full-Year Continuing Appropriations and Extensions Act for 2025 (CR) includes two critical measures that would keep the promise to our Afghan allies: ? 20,000 Visas for the Afghan SIV Program. ? Extends the application deadline by two years. These urgent provisions would ensure that the Afghan Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) program can continue to vet and move eligible Afghan allies to safety. Inclusion in the CR is an important step towards ensuring the Afghan SIV Program remains operational for Afghan allies still in danger. No One Left Behind strongly supports these lifesaving measures and are continuing our ongoing efforts to finalize these additions. Join us in this work: https://lnkd.in/emCJ9Wkk Please note, whether or not this act passes, our work to fly SIV holders to safety continues and is no less urgent. If you have a U.S. visa in hand and are eligible for travel, please submit your information through this link: https://lnkd.in/eTZJfmQH? ---------- Link to Legislative Text: https://lnkd.in/ef39TUts
