关于我们
Our mission is to resettle every Afghan and Iraqi combat interpreter in the United States over the next 10 years. We focus on recipients of Special Immigrant Visas. This class of visa was designed for Afghans and Iraqis who worked with United States forces during the post-9/11 military campaigns, generally as combat interpreters in front-line units. The men and women our charity benefits have served multiple combat tours, and have acquitted themselves with honor, courage, and distinction. Most arrive in the United States penniless, disconnected from family support networks, and unequipped to build new lives. By providing financial assistance, employment counseling, and political advocacy we honor our nation’s promise to these valiant young men and women.

Through the Welcome Corps, you can welcome an Afghan Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) recipient or family and help them transition to life in your community. Welcome.US also provides a unique opportunity through the Veteran Sponsor Fund for eligible private sponsor groups that include a veteran or active duty servicemember. Sponsorship groups that include a veteran or active duty service member in them, can receive up to $14,450 in funding to sponsor an Afghan family that they know. Veterans across the country are leading the way in supporting the Afghan partners they served with on the ground – from advocating for their visa applications to helping provide housing and financial support. The Veteran Sponsor Fund helps formalize and provide financial support for the services veterans are already providing for our Afghan allies. This Welcome.US funding will be available on a first-come, first-served basis until December 10, 2024. ?? Learn more: https://bit.ly/49pI9ep
