The Youth Philanthropy Council of the Northern New York Community Foundation is seeking grant applications from qualified tri-county nonprofit organizations for up to $20,000 in funding. If you represent a nonprofit organization in Jefferson, Lewis, or St. Lawrence County, you are encouraged to apply! This grant opportunity is not limited to organizations that serve youths; all nonprofits are welcome and encouraged to apply regardless of their missions. We were honored to welcome Jake Johnson, real estate developer and CEO of Jake Johnson Properties; Mart Liinve, retired entrepreneur and Community Foundation committee member; Mark Thompson, vice president of Jefferson Concrete and Community Foundation board member; and Tracy Valentine, former journalist, longtime OBI Land Trust board member, and community volunteer to the Philanthropy Center last month. Today we mark our 95th anniversary. The Community Foundation was incorporated on this day in 1929.
