Public health just lost a great advocate and leader with the passing of Dr. John Novak. As we mourn his loss, we remember Dr. Novak for his dedication, passion and commitment to improving public health, serving on the District Board of Health for nearly a decade and volunteering his time in various emergency response operations. His absence was felt at the dais in today’s Board of Health meeting, but we will continue to honor and cherish his memory by fighting for public health. We send our sincere condolences to Dr. Novak’s friends and family during this difficult time.
