Sealed bids must be received by 1:00p.m. EST on December 4, 2024 at NNEPRA’s Portland office with a public bid opening immediately to follow.

The NNEPRA Staff had the pleasure of hosting Quincy Hentzel from the Portland Regional Chamber, along with Lynn Tillotson and David Page from Visit Portland, for a fantastic familiarization trip between Portland and Brunswick. The ride showcased our region and highlighted the importance of reducing travel time while enhancing connectivity and tourism in Maine. ?? ??It was a BOO-tiful Day for a Familiarization Train Ride! ?? ??

The NNEPRA team got to experience the cross-town move in Boston via the Grand Junction and Fitchburg Line. The Amtrak Downeaster crew expertly navigated the city streets to drop off and pick up new train equipment from South Hampton Yard. This complex operation emphasizes the importance of teamwork and coordination in the rail indusrty. Thank you to Meredith Slesinger, MassDOT and Joseph Barr, Amtrak for joining us.
