?? Insights on Type 1 Diabetes in Communities of Color! The National Minority Quality Forum’s Center for Sustainable Health Care Quality and Equity (SHC) held virtual focus groups on July 10 and August 6, 2024, to explore the unique challenges faced by individuals of color with type 1 diabetes (T1D). Participants shared personal experiences of financial, emotional, and systemic barriers that hinder effective diabetes management, emphasizing the need to address implicit bias, expand DSMES access, and strengthen community engagement.
