The National Minority Health Association (NMHA), is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization founded in 1988 by Dr. David L. Dalton, Chairman, and CEO of UNIVEC Conglomerate Inc. (UNVC). The organization achieved its initial mission of ensuring the establishment of Offices of Minority Health in all 50 states. Today the NMHA is deploying Operation Healthy You? (OHY), a program that brings health equity to the people. The program is intended to lower the cost of healthcare and improve outcomes for minority and underserved communities.

My nonprofit, The Assoc. of Hidradenitis Suppurativa and Inflammatory Diseases (AHSID), just launched our first Community Mapping Survey to measure the healthcare disparities Black Detroiters with #HidradenitisSuppurativa face when accessing care. If you’re a Black Detroiter or a Black person with HS living in Metro Detroit, we would love for you to take this survey. Your feedback will help us address the systemic barriers Black patients face while navigating care for this complex and debilitating disease.
