Today, we remember the lives of those in our transgender community whose lives have been lost to violence. Their stories matter, and their voices matter. We honor their memory by striving for a world where everyone can live authentically, safely, and thrive. New Mexico is proudly one of the most 2SLGBTQIA-friendly and progressive states in the Nation. Let's continue to be a beacon of acceptance, support, and equity for all. #TDOR #TransLivesMatter #2SLGBTQIA #LGBTQ #NewMexico

County & Tribal Health Councils are an integral part of public health functions across New Mexico. Daily, they are working on improving the health and well-being of our communities. Health Councils: - Coordinate Access to Health Services: Ensuring access and promoting health equity by collaborating with key partners to provide and expand services to meet their community where they are. - Emergency Response: Whether it is coordinating resources for meeting emergency community needs during floods and fires, to national pandemics, they are the local boots on the ground who will instantly rally to support their local area. - Empowering Communities: Being an everpresent, trusted community health hub, they drive community-based solutions and provide a place for community voices to be heard. New Mexico's Health Councils are the lifelines of their communities.
