We would like to extend our congratulations to Toni Newman, Director of The Coalition for Justice and Equality Across Movements, for being honored as a Health Justice Champion at this year's Show of Hope Gala (hosted by the San Francisco Community Health Center). Toni and the Coalition work hard to come up with solutions that address health disparities for communities most impacted by them. This recognition is well-deserved!

Congresswoman Maxine Waters gave a statement observing National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. We thank Congresswoman Waters for decades of being an ally and staunch advocate to end the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Her work reminds us the importance of following the data that continues to show the burden of HIV on Black Americans. That's why we have to keep working to improve prevention and treatment access to communities most affected by the epidemic. To read Congresswoman Waters's statement, visit https://lnkd.in/er6i3iB6

Data has shown us how Black communities remain disproportionately affected by HIV and stigma. On National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, we’ll do our part to create urgency around ending the HIV epidemic and normalize conversations around HIV to end stigma.
