Today, we're announcing investment by Emerald Technology Ventures and Oregon Venture Fund to help bring energy-efficient, high-performance electro-optic modulation technology to AI, data centers, quantum computing, and more. The two firms join Tokyo Ohka Kogyo Co., Ltd., Pack Ventures, StoryHouse Ventures, and other existing NLM investors to support NLM’s vision and focus. ????

Along with CoMotion at University of Washington, we've been granted a US patent for another organic electro-optic (OEO) material, Selerion-HTX??! Known as HLD in scientific literature, this material redefines the boundaries of photonic performance. It balances a high EO coefficient (r33) and index of refraction with unprecedented long-term temperature stability for a hybrid OEO material. Selerion-HTX is the first material in NLM’s Selerion family of hybrid OEO technologies. It was developed in the research labs of Professors Bruce Robinson and Larry Dalton in the University of Washington Department of Chemistry. #OEO #photonics #patent #universityofwashington
