NJII Gives Back ?? In the spirit of Thanksgiving and giving back to our communities, members of the NJII team came together for a Thanksgiving food donation drive for a local non-profit organization, Yolanda's L.O.V.E. Yolanda's L.O.V.E. (Lives Overcoming Victimization through Empathy/Empowerment) is an organization dedicated to helping all groups in need. This month, the team collected essential food items and volunteered to create Thanksgiving baskets for 70 Newark families in need. ?? The first of many: Foundry Lab’s First Customer! We're excited to announce a major milestone: Foundry Lab has signed our first customer, the New Jersey Innovation Institute (NJII) Defense Team! Through the COMET initiative (in partnership with the US Army DEVCOM Armaments Center and New Jersey Institute of Technology), NJII will leverage our digital metal casting technology to advance U.S. manufacturing and workforce training. This acquisition is pivotal in re-shoring critical metal casting capabilities in the U.S., enhancing secure supply chains, and boosting sovereign manufacturing capacity. With our system, NJII can prototype and produce metal castings in hours, supporting the sector’s need for a fast, agile supply chain. Thomas Murphy (AMUG??), Director of Defense Manufacturing Technology at NJII said, “We are excited about the opportunity to partner with Foundry Lab to reshore metal casting and aid the limited foundry/casting houses in the US. There are many casting applications for our partners and a key element is energizing a new workforce that has limited, hands on experience with casting.
