The New Jersey Energy Coalition works to educate the public about the need for energy policies that protect the environment, protect the ratepayer, and improve the state’s economy. Our focus includes advocacy for the license renewal of New Jersey’s nuclear power plants, the construction of more clean and affordable sources of baseload electricity, the upgrade and expansion of our transmission and distribution infrastructure, and the creation on an energy industry in New Jersey that generates jobs and economic development.

On Friday, June 7th at 9:00am, the New Jersey Energy Coalition & New Jersey Utilities Association will be co-hosting a Virtual Discussion with U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer. Congressman Gottheimer represents New Jersey's 5th Congressional District and serves on two House Committees: (1) the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, where he is the Ranking Member of the National Security Agency and Cyber Subcommittee, and is a member of the National Intelligence Enterprise Subcommittee, and (2) the House Financial Services Committee, where he is a member of the Subcommittee on National Security, Illicit Finance, and International Financial Institutions, the Subcommittee on Digital Assets, Financial Technology and Inclusion, and the Subcommittee on Capital Markets. On Wednesday, April 24th, New Jersey Board of Public Utilities Commissioner Michael Bange joined New Jersey Energy Coalition members in an informal discussion with U.S. Congressman Frank Pallone. Congressman Pallone fielded questions from members on a variety of issues, including #energy #innovation like #hydrogen & #nuclear, #cybersecurity, #infrastructure, and economic development. Last week on Wednesday, March 20, the New Jersey Energy Coalition hosted a fireside chat with New Jersey Board of Public Utilities Commissioner Dr. Zenon Christodoulou and Commissioner Marian Abdou at the Trenton Country Club. Members enjoyed a light lunch as the Commissioners engaged in a discussion moderated by NJEC President Erick Ford on current energy initiatives for the State of New Jersey. Thank you to both Commissioner Christodoulou and Commissioner Abdou for taking the time to speak at our event and to meet with the attendees! Additionally, thank you to all members who attended the event. We appreciate your dedication to the Coalition!
