This week, 225+ Jobs for America's Graduates New Jersey students gathered at Rider University for our annual Leadership Development Conference (LDC). The LDC provides #JAGNJ students with a professional conference experience as a part of their continuing employability skills training and leadership development. During the conference, students met and networked with fellow JAG NJ students from around the state, participated in icebreaker activities and professional workshops, and celebrated their colleagues' induction as JAG NJ state career association officers. This conference would not have been possible without the help of our volunteers! Thank you to our many industry partners who participated as workshop facilitators and "mini career fair" table hosts. We greatly appreciate your time and commitment to preparing the next generation of New Jersey's workforce! Since 2012, Jobs for America's Graduates New Jersey students have graduated at a rate of?93% to 100%—while their school peers have graduated at a rate of?36% to 93%. With 18 programs in 9 NJ counties, JAG NJ's 3-pronged approach consisting of project-based learning, employer engagement, and trauma-informed care equips students with the skills, resources, career readiness, and guidance needed to navigate the challenging circumstances they face in their communities and lead successful lives of economic empowerment and sustainability. *Anticipated Opening* The NJCCF is seeking a Program Manager (PM) to monitor the implementation of the Jobs for America's Graduates New Jersey program around the state, with an emphasis on ensuring that JAG Specialists are equipped to create a safe, trauma-informed environment for students. This is a grant-funded consultant position, requiring regular travel to high schools across Passaic, Newark, New Brunswick, Rahway, Plainfield, Camden, Vineland, Willingboro, and Woodbury. The grant period runs from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025, spanning two academic years, with reduced activity between June and September. On September 18th volunteers from Colgate-Palmolive joined Jobs for America's Graduates New Jersey students at Plainfield High School for an exclusive career fair where Colgate-Palmolive employees from multiple departments showcased their job functions to JAG NJ students in interactive and fun ways. As students made their rounds they were exposed to many new and exciting career pathways that Colgate-Palmolive has to offer.
