Last week, our team had the privilege of attending a career fair at Essex Campus Academy, an incredible county-wide alternative education program in Fairfield, NJ. Established in 1986, the Academy supports students in grades 8-12 who seek an alternative to traditional education. We were thrilled to share our educational journeys and career opportunities at American Water. It was inspiring to see students leave the session feeling motivated and optimistic about their futures. One student, determined to become a mechanic, shared his commitment to graduating high school with his parents' support. These young minds reminded us of the importance of nurturing the next generation of water professionals and why we developed programs like WaterUP!.
