NJ TRANSIT would like to congratulate Dionna L. Sumner, Chief of Customer Service on her 35th work anniversary! Dionna, a seasoned customer service professional, has served as a director in all 3 divisions of Customer Service and has supervised as many as 100 people working amongst the 8 customer service field offices, three call centers, the service quality program, and customer service. Apart from her time in customer service, Dionna has also worked in auditing, ticketing, point of sales, project management, and bus operations in her time with NJ TRANSIT. During COVID-19 Dionna led the Maskforce outreach effort and assisted in the distribution of 150,000 masks to NJ TRANSIT bus, train, and light rail customers. For everything you've done and continue to do thank you, Dionna, for 35 amazing years!

NJ TRANSIT CEO Kevin Corbett recently visited the Alstom plant in Plattsburgh, New York to tour the facility and check in on the progress of the new Multilevel III rail cars coming to NJ TRANSIT soon! Progress is moving along and the first of 174 rail cars are set to be delivered to NJ TRANSIT in early 2025.

Today, NJ TRANSIT SVP & Chief Administrative Officer, Binu Thomas and Alecia R. Grady, Director, Private Public Partnership Office, United States Army Reserve (USAR), hosted a signing of an employee recruitment and outreach agreement between the two organizations. The Army Reserve’s Private Public Partnership (P3O) office has partnered with NJ TRANSIT to establish and foster relationships and provide value-added employment services to Soldiers and family members.
