Last month Nishuane Group Senior Associate Steven Martini, PP, AICP presented the "Block 113, Lot 9 and Block 120, Lot 3.01 Redevelopment Study" before the City of Plainfield Planning Board, which approved it unanimously. ? Nishuane Group hit the ground running with site visits and a photo survey to get a clear picture of the Study Area’s current conditions and land uses. We also dug into key city documents—like Plainfield’s Master Plan, zoning ordinances, and City Council resolutions—to understand the bigger picture. Plus, we gathered property records to help assess what’s already in place. All of this provided us with what we needed to evaluate the area and its potential. ?? The next steps would be to prepare a redevelopment plan for these two long-standing vacant properties in the City's 4th Ward, which will assist in filling existing physical gaps in the neighborhood. ???
